Dojeon verses roughly translated

[Transferring the mindset of Heaven and Earth's Ilgoon: One person should be able to stand against a million people]

One day in November, Sangjenim looked at Gyeong-hak and said "Today, I am about to make a work of renewal for the number of Dumundong (杜門洞) stars (星數) which corresponds to 72 people dosu, and asked Gyeong-hak do you believe me well?"

Gyeong-hak replied "Yes, I believe you well." After receiving his pledges three times, Sangjenim asked , "How many people do you think one person should cope with?"

Gyeong-hak replied "Isn't it enough for one person to cope with one hundred (百)?"
Sangjenim said, "Not at all"

Gyeonghak again asked "Is it still less for one to cope with a thousand (千)?"
Sangjenim again said "No",

Is it then enough for one to cope with ten thousand (萬)?
Sangjenim said "That's not enough."

Gyeong-hak then asked "are you saying that one person can cope with more than ten thousand people?"
Sangjenim said, "One person should be able to stand against a million people."

천지 일꾼의 심법 전수 : 백만 명은 당적해야

11월에 하루는 경학을 바라보시며 “오늘 두문동(杜門洞) 성수(星數) 72인 공사를 보려는데 나를 잘 믿겠느냐?” 하고 물으시거늘
경학이 “예, 잘 믿겠습니다.” 하고 대답하니 이와 같이 세 번을 다짐받으신 뒤에 물으시기를
“자네, 사람 하나에 얼마나 당적했으면 하겠는가?” 하시니라.
이에 경학이 “백(百) 명을 당적하면 안 하겠습니까.” 하거늘
상제님께서 “아니지.” 하시니
경학이 다시 “천(千) 명 당적이면 적다 하겠습니까?” 하는지라
상제님께서 거듭 “아니지.” 하시니
“만(萬) 명 당적이면 적당하겠습니까?” 하매
“그것도 아니지.” 하시니라.
이에 경학이 “사람 한 명이 만 명 이상을 당적한다는 말씀이십니까?” 하고 여쭈니
말씀하시기를 “사람 하나가 백만 명은 당적해야 하느니라.” 하시니라.

[Chant Taeeulju mantra]

One day, Sangjenim proclaimed "Through chanting mantra establishes the road for the spirits to respond to the mind, talisman is the house of spirits." He then said, “I will let the commander spirits to circulate the houses of every dao practitioners and survey their Taeeulju mantra chanting every night, so you must surely chant Taeeulju mantra." and He added "In order to do my work, you must dig deeply.

태을주를 읽으라

1 하루는 상제님께서 말씀하시기를
“呪誦은 神之路也요 符는 神之宅也라
주송 신지로야 부 신지택야
2 주송을 해야 신이 내 마음에 출입을 하며 부는 신명의 집이니라.” 하시니라.
3 또 말씀하시기를 “신장들로 하여금 매일 밤마다 도생들의 집을 찾아 돌며 태을주 읽는 것을 조사하게 하리니 태을주를 꼭 읽어야 하느니라.” 하시고
4 “나의 일을 하려거든 깊이 파야 하느니라.” 하시니라.

One day, Sangjenim said to the disciples "Proverbs are all sacred expressions, and secrets of life." and He further mentioned "yu ji ja sa gyeong seong (有志者事竟成), which means once someone who has a sincere will makes up his resolution, he will keep that mind consistently throughout his life until he finally accomplishes the resolute goal. They say 'Heaven helps those who help themselves', however words are easy to say but hard to express in action."

하루는 상제님께서 성도들에게 말씀하시기를 “속담(俗談)이 모두 성담(聖談)이요, 인생의 비결이니라.” 하시고 이르시기를 “유지자사경성(有志者事竟成)이라. 뜻 있는 자는 한 번 뜻을 세우면 평생을 한결같이 일관하여 필경에는 성취한다는 말이요. 지성이면 감천이라고, 말로는 쉽지마는 어찌 쉽게 행하리오.” 하시니라.
