우리가 살고 있는 대우주 천체권에 생존을 하는 만유의 생명체는 자연섭리를 바탕으로 해서 생장염장을 한다. 천지의 목적, 대우주 천체권의 목적이 생장염장이여. 낳고 기르고 수렴을 하고 폐장을 하고 초목도 비금주수도 사람에 이르기까지 묶어서 생장염장. 그것이 바로 천지의 목적이여.
All living beings in the great celestial realm of this universe follow the way of creative change; birth, growth, harvest and rest based on the nature's principle. The purpose of heaven and earth, the celestial realm of this universe itself is in the way of birth, growth, harvest and rest. From trees, birds and creepers to humans, all living beings follow the way of birth, growth, harvest and rest. This is the purpose of heaven and earth.

만유의 생명체가 원하건 원하지 않건 그렇게 밖에는 안된다. 생겨나고 성장을 하고 수렴을 하고, 알기 쉽게 봄철에 물건 내어서 여름철에 길러서 가을철이 되면 뿌리기운, 줄거리기운, 마디기운 전부 진액을 거두어 모아서 열매를 맺는다. 통일을 하고, 알캥이를 맺는다.
All living beings should follow this principle whether they want it or not, because that is the absolute principle of creative changes, the principle of change and transformation. All living beings come into existence in spring and grow in summer but in autumn beget the fruits after extracting the essence from the chi of roots, chi of branches, and the chi of trunks so, the autumn is the time for unification and producing the core substance.

우리가 살고 있는 이 시점은 지구일년으로 말하면 여름과 가을이 바꿔지는 하추교역. 천지의 질서가 여름과 가을 천지의 질서가 바꿔지는 때여. 여름 가을 질서가 바꿔지면, 더운 세상이 추운 세상으로 바뀌면, 옷을 갈아 입여야 하잖아. 여름철에는 성장을 하는 때인데 가을철에는 열매 맺어 놓고 다 죽여 버린다.
The time we are currently living in is called such as the summer-autumn transition in earth one year. It is time for the order of heaven and earth to change from summer to autumn (from divergence to convergence). When the seasons change from summer to autumn; from hot to cold, people also should change their clothes. Summer is the time for the growth but in autumn slaughters all beings after bearing fruits.

이번에는 이 하추교역하는 이치를 모르면, 천지의 질서가 바꿔지는 이 이치를 모르는 사람은 하늘을 쓰고 도리질하는 사람이라도 살아남을 수 없어. 어째서? 상서리가 와서 다 말려 버리는데 무슨 수가 있나? 천지의 순환지리를 무엇으로써 인간의 능력으로써 어떻게 저항을 하겠나?
So, those who do not understand the principle of summer-autumn transition (or changing order of heaven and earth) cannot survive even if they are such extraordinary people who can shake their heads for fun from side to side wearing heaven on their head. Why? The chi of autumn frost falls on and dries up everything, according to the principle of nature, is there any way to survive? How dare people possibly resist the absolute circulation principle of heaven and earth with their mean capacity?

그러므로써 천지의 질서가 바꿔지는 때는 천지의 질서를 바뀌는 이치를 아는 사람은 그 이치에 순응해서 살길을 찾는거고 이걸 모르면 역천여, 머 하늘에 주먹질 하고 욕해서가 아니라.못받아 드리는게 역천이여. 그러니깐 천지 이치를 역천하면서 어떻게 살기를 바라나? 모르는것도 죄악이여. 자기자신에게,,
Therefore when the order of heaven and earth changes, those who understand the principle of change can find the way of survival following that principle, but those who do not understand that is defying heaven, which is not because they beat the air or speak ill of heaven but they cannot accept the principle of heaven and earth. Hence, how could they expect to survive with manner of defying the principle of heaven and earth? And the ignorance is also sin to oneself,,

인류역사를 통해서 지나간 세상에는 천지 이법을 몰라도 그냥 그런데로 살아 남을수 있었어. 하나 이번에는 모르면 참 안타갑지만 죽는수 밖에 없어. 그래서 상제님도 한마디로 천하의 대세를 아는자는 천하의 살기운이 있고 천하의 대세에 어두운자는 죽는수 밖에 없다.
People have survived even if they do not know the principle of heaven and earth throughout the previous human history. However, it is distressing to say but those who do not know the principle in this transitional time have no way to survive. Hence, Sangjenim also said “those aware of the world's tides possess the qi of life, those ignorant of the world's tides possess the qi of death.”

지금은 하추교역기여. 천지의 질서가 바꿔진다. 천지의 질서가 어떻게 바꿔지나? 수생목 목생화 상생이지 그런데, 화극금은 극을 해서 금화교역이 되지 않아. 요 이치를 알아야 되요.
Now is the time of Cosmic summer-autumn transition, the order of heaven and earth is about to change. How does the order of heaven and earth change? According to the principle of Yin & Yang and Five Movements, the water qi engenders wood qi, wood qi engenders fire qi but fire qi restrains metal qi so that the metal-fire interchange is actually impossible without understanding this principle. People should understand this principle.

그러므로 요 하추교역기는 반드시 이 대우주를 주재하신 천지를 주재하신 그 절대자 하나님 참하나님 그 옥황상제님이 인간세상에 오셔서, 왜냐하면 인류의 역사를 주제 하셨기 때문에, 그걸 다 수습을 해서 알캥이를 맺어서, 다음 세상으로 건널제자 건널도자. 제도를 하기 위해서 반드시 꼭 오시게 되어져 있어.
Therefore in this transition time of Cosmic summer-autumn, the Supreme God (Earth, number 10), the Absolute Being, Okhwang-Sangje or Jade Emperor who governs the heaven and earth MUST come into this world of humanity since He is the One who has governed the Human history. So, His advent on earth actually was firmly programmed to settle all problems of humanity and bear fruits of human civilization and guide people to overcome the time of upheaval, Gaebyeok and establish the coming new world, the era of golden age.

Taeeulju mantra- the mantra of life

인류역사라 하는 것은 대자연 순환지리 변화법칙에 의해서 자연섭리가 성숙됨에 따라서 인류역사도 성숙이 된다.
The human history has been matured with the development of nature’s providence based on the nature’s principle of circulation, the principle of change and transformation.

우리가 살고 있는 이 시점은 두 말할것 없이 종도사가 입버릇처럼 노냥 떠들어대는 하추교역 여름과 가을이 바꿔지는 원시로 반본하는 제모습을 찾는 춘생추살을 하는 이런 통일되고 결실을 하고 알캥이를 맺고 매듭을 짓는 바로 만유의 생명체가 생성을 하는 이런 절대적인 생장염장의 바로 다시 애기해서 매듭짓고 알캥이를 여물고 씨앗을 맺는 아주 중요한 요시기를 위해서 생장염장이라는 것이 있는겨.
As I always have mentioned, the time we are currently living in is the summer-autumn transition, in other words, it is the transition time of summer to autumn, the time for seeking out the beginning and returning to the origin, time for recovering the true identity of each being, time for death in autumn after birth in spring, and time for unity, harvest, and bearing the core essence after birth and growth in spring and summer, and time for ripening the seeds. For this very essential moment, the process of birth, growth, harvest and rest in spring, summer, autumn and winter exist.

1년 춘하추동 사시라는 것은 가을에 열매를 맺기 위해서 다시 묶어서 천지의 목적이여. 또한 인간은 만유생명의 주체여. 지구상에서 생존을 하는 만유의 생명체는 사람 생활문화를 위해서 사람을 이바지 하기 위해서 다만 그래서만 있는겨.
Four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter in a year exist for bearing fruits in autumn. That is the purpose of heaven and earth. In addition, the human is the subject agent among all beings in this universe. All living beings exist for contributing to the life and culture of humanity and for serving humans. Only for this purpose, they do exist.

이번에 상제님이 오셔서. 지나간 역사 과정에서 잘못된 것을 전부가 다 묶어서 앞으로 다가오는 새 세상을 여는 다시 애기해서 선천에서 앞으로 다가 오는 새 세상을 건너가는 가교. 생명의 다리를 맨들어 놓은 말이지. 그 진리가 바로 증산도의 진리여.
In this transition time, Sangjenim came to this world to clean up all errors and faults which had been accumulated throughout human history and to open up the new world. The truth of Jeungsando is like the temporary bridge or the bridge of life which was made by Sangjenim for crossing over from the early heaven to the new heaven, the golden era.

이 지구상의 그 수많은 족속들이 상제님의 진리권에 수용을 당하지 않으면 누구도 다음 세상에 갈수가 없어. 지구상에는 65억내지 70억 인류가 산다. 누구도 상제님 진리권 여기에 수용을 당해야 다음 세상을 갈수 있다.
There are so many tribes living on earth but no single person could go across to the next world without being embraced by the truth of Sangjenim. Among around 6.5 billion to 7.0 billion of humans, only those who are encompassed by the truth of Sangjenim can go over to the next world.

그렇다면 증산도의 사명 증산도 신도들의 그 사명. 자기 개인 신도에서 생각해볼때는 나도 살기 위해서는 상제님을 신앙을 해야 겠다. 증산도를 신앙을 해야 겠다. 사람인지라 내가 상제님 진리로써 개벽을 하는 세상에 나는 산다. 그런 성스러운 진리라 할꺼 같으면 가족도 겨래도 나아가서 전인류 내 능력이 허락하는 한. 살신성인을 하라고 할수가 없으니깐. 땅 끝까지 한 사람도 빠짐없이 우리 증산도 신도들이 잘만한다면 저 땅끝 최후의 한 사람까지 다 살릴수 있어. 그러면 개벽이 아니라고 할테지. 그런데 그럴수가 없겠지.
Then, what could be the mission of Jeungsando, the JSD practitioners? When I assume each practitioner’s personal mind, each of them may think “I will have a faith on Sangjenim to survive. I will practice Jeungsando because it is human nature after knowing that people could survive in such critical time of Gaebyeok only through the Sangjenim’s truth. If one believes that Sangjenim’s truth is such a sacred truth, one should try to save one’s family, country, even the entire humanity as well within one’s capacity, though I cannot ask people to sacrifice their life like martyrs. But if the practitioners of Jeungsando do their missions well, we could save every single person up until the very last place on earth. You may say that then, it cannot be Gaebyeok, and it is impossible.

상제님 영향권에 수용만 시키면 다 살수가 있어. 어째서 그러냐? 상제님의 의통이라 하는것은 내가 가끔 신도들 교육을 시키면서 애기를 하지만은 의통이라 하는것은 그저 알기 쉽게 한 나라 옛날 임금이 어사를 시켜서 그 선악을 구분하는 어사에게 특권을 주는 마패가 있어. 어명이야 하고 암행어사가 출두를 하면 누구도 그 명령에 불복종하면 역적이다. 상감님을 대신해서 집행하는 말이여. 그런 절대자가 되기 때문에 그래서 의통이라는 것은 중재자 통치자. 과거 현재 미래. 우주의 주재자요. 우주의 통치자요. 신명과 사람의 사령탑이신 상제님의 그 절대자. 어명이 되기 때문에 일념지하에 의통이라는 그 대권을 앞에서는 누구도 다 살수가 있다 말이여.
However, if we could encompass all human races within the truth of Sangjenim, all of human beings could be saved. What is the logic? There is a Sangjenim’s uitong (salvation and unification through healing) which I have sometimes mentioned in my lectures. Here is an easy example; there is a mapae (馬牌); the mark of the king's authority which was given to the royal inspectors to select the goods and the evils by the King. When the secret royal inspector appears with holding the mapae and shouting the king’s command, anybody who is against him would be a traitor. It is simply because he executes the royal command on behalf of King. His role actually is such an absolute. Therefore, the uitong is the absolute royal command from Sangjenim who is the ruler, the leader of this universe in the past, present, and future, the governor, and the emperor of all spirits and humans. Since the uitong is such an absolute and highest being’s royal command, anybody can be saved by the authority of this uitong.

거기에는 그 주축이 태을주인데 태을주라 하는 것은 저번에 내가 저 청주를 가서. 태을주는 자식이 어머니에게 젖을 빠는 것과 같다. 이렇게 내가 알기 쉽게 표현을 한 사실이 있어.
And, there is a main axis in this uitong. That is the Taeeulju mantra. As I mentioned in Cheongju Dojang, South Korea, Chanting Taeeulju mantra is something like a child suckling milk from the mother. Once I described it in such easy manner for you to understand.

천지부모의 젖을 빠는 겨. 태을주의 조화라 하는 것은 아주 참 무궁무짐한겨. 태을주를 잘 읽으면 세상에 고치기 어려운 불치명. 문둥병. 문둥병도 고쳐지는 것을 내가 봤어. 그러니깐 태을주는 참 정성을 다 바쳐서. 진심으로 거짓 하나도 없이. 그런 참 마음을 가지고 진짜 정성을 가지고서 다 바쳐서 잘 읽으면 참 만병통치 태을주고 오죽하면 여의주다. 여의주는 같을 여 자 뜻의 자, 주문 주자, 마음대로 조화를 부리고 바람도 불고 비도 주고 하는 말이야. 이런 여의주. 태을주는 그런 주문이여.
It is like suckling milk of heaven and earth; the parents of all humanity. The creative power of Taeeulju mantra is truly infinite. When people chant Taeeulju mantra well in sincere manner, I even witnessed that such incurable disease like leprosy had been healed. Hence, when you chant Taeeulju mantra with your genuine devotion, with sincere mind without a single fictitious thought, with such a true mind, the Taeeulju mantra can surely heal all kinds of disease. It is cure-all mantra. Hence it is indeed Yeouiju, the wish-fulfilling jewel. For the meaning of Yeouiju (如意呪 or 珠), Ye means same, oui means one's will, and ju means mantra or pearl so, in other expression, wish-fulfilling mantra or jewel. With holding such yeouiju, the power of creative change like commending winds and rains could be possible at one’s will. That is the power of Yeouiju and Taeeulju mantra is such powerful mantra.

천지의 대자연 섭리를 묶어서 태을주는 3번 변해서 말이여. 이렇게 해서 이 우주년 12만 9천 600년의 전반기 후반기 말이여. 하추 교역기 개벽을 할때에 인간씨종자를 추리는 개벽을 극복하는 그런 주문이여. 누구라도 천지의 주체가 사람 아니여. 천지의 주체가 천지에서 사람 농사를 지어서 말이지. 사람 씨종자를 추리는 그런 절대적인 그건 가치로써도 평가할수 없고 진리로써도 평가할수 없고 원래 꼬캥이 아니야. 태을주는 그 절대적인.
Following the providence of nature, the Taeeulju mantra also has been changed three times. According to the principle of circulation, the universe also proceeds the cosmic one year, 129,600 years; half of the early heaven and half of the later heaven. And it is the Taeeulju mantra that overcomes the upheavals of Gaebyeok in the time of summer-autumn transition, the time of harvesting the seeds of humanity. The Taeeulju mantra is for all human beings, and isn’t it the human being that values most highly in heaven and earth? Since the heaven and earth have been engaged in farming human races and now we are all facing such time for heaven and earth to harvest the seeds of humanity, it is truly absolute mantra for overcoming this critical transition time. Therefore, the value of this mantra is really priceless, and the truth of this mantra is indeed boundless, and the Taeeulju mantra is the original essence of this universe. Taeeulju mantra is such an absolute and ultimate mantra.


*상제님이 그렇게 어명으로써 그렇해서 맨들어논 그런거니깐. 잘때도 벽에 대고 누워서 태을주를 생각 염자. 읽을 송자. 염송. 잠 잠자 묵송. 마음으로 태을주를 몇번 읽으면 잠념도 가시고 자시자신도 모르게 슬그머니 잠이 든다 말이여. 눈뜨고 보면 새벽이다 말이야. 태을주를 읽으면 사불범전이지. 무슨 잡신같은것도 다 없어지고. 태을주는 호흡 숨시는것 마냥. 들이실숨 내쉴숨 쉬고 그걸 호흡이라고 하지 않아. 호흡하는것 처럼. 호흡을 하지 않으면 죽잖아. 심장이 멈추는 것처럼. 사람이 생명이 있는한 자연적으로 호흡을 하게 되었다. 그것과 같이 태을주는 사람이 호흡하는것 마냥 그렇게 늘 읽다가 보면은 자연. 그게 자연적으로 호흡을 하듯.
Sangjenim gave such power and authority in this mantra with His Highest Royal Command. Therefore, even when you sleep, chant Taeeulju mantra in your mind silently while lying down on the floor. When you chant Taeeulju mantra in your mind several times, your worldly distracting thoughts shall be subsided and you will fall asleep unwittingly. When you open your eyes, it’s already dawn. When you chant Taeeulju mantra, it is called Sabulbeomjung (邪不犯正: wicked sa, not bul, attacking beom, right jung; the wicked one cannot attack the right one), so whatever wicked ghost-like beings or demons shall be banished. Chant Taeeulju mantra as you breathe inhale and exhale. People would die without breathing as the heart stops. Humans breathe naturally when they are alive. When you always keep chanting Taeeulju mantra like breathing, you could chant it naturally like your breathing someday.

다시 묶어서 태을주는 사람에게 제 1의 생명이여. 이번 개벽기에 내 생명은 제 2의 생명이다. 내 생명의 첫째가 태을주여. 이번에는 태을주로써 이번 개벽하는 세상에 사니깐 제일의 생명 아니여. 제 1의 생명이 태을주고 제 2의 생명이 개인이다.
Therefore, Taeeulju mantra is the first life to all humans. My personal life is secondary in this time of Gaebyeok. The first priority in my life is Taeeulju mantra. Because people could survive in this transition time only with Taeeulju mantra, then isn’t it our first life? Thus, the first life (spiritual) of my existence is Taeeulju mantra and the second life (physical) of my existence is individual breath.

다 자기 생명이 태을주에 매여 있으니깐. 살고 죽는 것이 태을주에 매여 있다. 전 인류의 제 1의 생명이 태을주고 자기 생명은 제 2의 생명이다. 이건 더도 덜도 없이 종도사로써 우리 신도들에게 전해주고 싶어서 개두벽두에 전한다.
As your life clings to the Taeeulju mantra, the life and death relys on the Taeeulju mantra. Therefore, the first life of the entire human races is the Taeeulju mantra and the individual life is the second life. That expression is no more or less exact, which I would like to convey to our practitioners as Jongdosa from the beginning of my speech.

상제님 진리는 태을주로 시작해서 태을주로 마감을 하는구나. 태을주로써 개벽기에 사람을 살려서 새 세상을 창출해도 되여. 태을주로써 새 세상을 이룩한다. 말이야. 태을주가 아니면 새 세상이 창출이 안 되여. 태을주는 무엇보다도 진리의 총체적인 핵이 태을주다. 이렇게 보면 된다. 그러니깐 태을주는 읽으라고 하니깐. 증산도의 그냥 그저 주문이다. 그렇게 알지 말고 태을주는 내가 살고 우리 겨래가 살고 전 인류가 사는 살고 죽는 것은 오직 태을주에 달려 있다. 아주 그런 중차대한 말이여. 멀하고도 바꿀수 없는 그런 태을주. 태을주를 알고 있건 모르고 있건 남녀노유 흑인종이건 백인종이건 황인종이건 이 지구에 생존한 사람인것 같으면 인종을 떠나서 태을주를 읽어야만 나의 생명이 살 수가 있다. 참으로 위대한 지고 태을주 읽는 다고 해서 누가 감내라는 사람도 없고 또 그렇다고 해서 의통목에는 주문만 읽어도 안되여.
The truth of Sangjenim starts with Taeeulju mantra and completes with Taeeulju mantra. With Taeeulju mantra, people shall be saved in the time of Gaebyeok and the new world shall be established. With Taeeulju mantra, we will build the coming new world, the world of paradise. Without the Taeeulju mantra, it is impossible to settle the new world. Above all, the Taeeulju mantra is the core essence of the entire truth. It is truly the condensation nucleus of all teachings. All teachings are melted down into this Taeeulju mantra. As you are told to chant Taeeulju mantra, so, you may simply consider this mantra is just one of common mantras in Jeungsando. That is not correct, Taeeulju mantra is the mantra to save my life, my country and the entire human races, in other words, the life and death in the coming future entirely depends on the Taeeulju mantra. It is such important and beyond compare. The Teaeulju mantra never could be replaced by anything. Whoever they are, man, woman, old and child, or black, yellow and white, regardless sex, age, and human race, those who are living on earth could be saved only through chanting Taeeulju mantra. How great it is, there is nobody who requests money for your chanting mantra. However having said that, the time of transition for using uitong (salvation and unification through healing), it is actually not enough to chant mantras only.

의통은 바로 유형이여. 그러니깐 그런줄들 알고 그러면 태을주. 어명이신 상제님의 명령. 그 태을주를 읽어서 죽는 세상에 내가 산다 한다면 나 혼자만 그 좋은 태을주만 읽어서 나혼자만 살아서는 안 되잖아. 진리를 모르면 자꾸 도장에서 책도 읽고 해서 배우고 진심 가지면 그건 지식만 가지고 포교를 하는게 아니여. 그 밑천은 정성이여. 정성이 지극하면 백도 천도 얼마고 포교할수 있어.
The uitong is the tangible material thing. So you should know just what I mentioned. Then, when you believe that by chanting the Taeeulju mantra, the Absolute Royal Command of Sangjenim, we could survive in this time of Gaebyeok, how selfish you would be if you just chant the mantra for saving your life alone. That is not right manner, isn’t it? If you do not know the truth, try to learn the truth from reading the books in Dojang, if you would have true mind, all things will be done. Conveying the truth could not be accomplished by the knowledge alone. The seed asset is actually sincerity. If you have the utmost sincerity, you could convey the truth to hundreds and thousands of people.

여기 종도사 종정을 본받아서. 여기 종도사 종정 다 바치지 않아서. 잘때도 태을주 읽으면서 자. 꿈에도 포교해여. 꿈에서 신도들 교육시키고. 내 자신은 무엇을 하기 위해서 왔냐? 상제님 진리를 전해서 새 세상을 살자. 후천 오만년 동안 부귀영화를 누르고 자자손손 계계승승 해서 세상과 더블어 내 자손 잘 살아 보자. 그렇게 된 진리여. 그런 좋은 진리여.
Follow the examples of Jongdosa and Jongjung here, Here Jongdosa and Jongjung, we have dedicated ourselves everything in Sangjenim’s work. Even in sleeping time, we chant Taeeulju mantra. Even in dream, we do convey the truth to the people and teach our practitioners. What is the purpose of my life? And why did I come here on earth? That is for conveying Sangjenim’s truth to the world and establishing the new world, the peaceful world of immortality on earth, and in which we will live with our decedents for generations and generations all together while enjoying wealth and honor in such wonderful world for fifty thousand years of Later heaven. That is the truth of Jeungsando, that is such a wonderful truth.
